Two packed days of simulations, case based discussions and workshops preparing you for the neurological emergencies that give you nightmares.

NeuroResus is accompanied by a comprehensive online resource and test that will set you up as preparation for higher level discussions at the course itself, and for ongoing future references.

NeuroResus is suitable for all critical care trainees, specialists and nurses who want to take their neuro resuscitation skills to the next level.

It is also suitable for Neurology and Neurosurgical trainees and specialists who want to focus on the critical care  management of neurological emergencies.

We cover neuro emergencies from initial presentation, emergency management through to the intensive care management, discussing what affects patient centred outcomes along the way.

Topics include traumatic brain injury, subarachnoid haemorrhage, intracerebral haemorrhage, status epilepticus, resuscitation after cardiac arrest, CNS infections, acute spinal cord injury, stroke and ECR, coma and neuropalliative care including organ donation.

We will focus on practical knowledge as well as some non-technical skills with a mix of interactive lectures, case discussions and simulations.

Included in registration is a networking event on day 1, as well as all catering while you’re there.

24 in total.

We allocate evenly between nursing and medical staff and junior and senior staff so that the sims and discussions work better.

This is on Level 6 of the Acute Services Building

It’s just up the hill from St Leonards station and there are good bus links.

We’re going to The Small Bar in Crows Nest (walking distance from the event venue) from 6.30pm on the 23rd March

Some drinks and food will be provided.

There is a test at the end of each online module.

Once you’ve passed all the tests, you will be issued with a certificate proving you’ve done it.

Once you’ve completed it, whenever you log into the website, you can access your certificate.

A log is kept of all registered delegates and their progress which we can provide you.
